Vanity Fair Magazine
TriviaTryst hosted a series of events with Vanity Fair Magazine to promote the Vanity Fair Trivia: Movie Madness iPhone app in the NYC area. During the week of July 6-8, 2010, several hundred trivia fans enjoyed questions from the app at three TriviaTryst games and competed for a variety of Vanity Fair prizes. Since then, many have gone on to download the iPhone app, which can be found at the following link: Vanity Fair Trivia: Movie Madness. Pencils of Promise
In January 2010 TriviaTryst promoted the charitable cause of building schools for those in need for the Pencils of Promise non-profit organization. In the aftermath of the Haiti Earthquake, donations to cover immediate humanitarian needs were plentiful, but longer term educational needs received less attention. Pencils of Promise (PoP) works to improve long term educational conditions by building schools in areas of global need. TriviaTryst solicited Facebook votes at all of our events for PoP in Chase Bank's Community Giving Campaign, helping to win funds to support their mission. Although TriviaTryst is simply a form of entertainment, bringing an intellectual game to a new audience shares a common thread with PoP's goal of promoting education in communities where it has historically been overlooked. TriviaTryst and PoP are committed to working together in the future to further promote the value of a good education both in the developing world and the NYC area.
